So after tonight’s Dynamite, Jade Cargill is 50+ and 0. Honestly, I’ve lost count, because I frankly don’t care about this belt anymore. I only half cared when she won the belt, because I wanted Ruby Soho to win it (though I knew it would be Cargill), and I fully lost interest at least 20 matches ago. Much like the issues I have with Roman Reigns and the Undisputed Championship, there are quite a few wrestlers that could have taken the belt and run with it, but for whatever reason, Khan has chosen Cargill to make the TBS Championship belt irrelevant.
I give it to Jade Cargill. She is good on the mic, has a good character and she has a look, but that’s it. When it comes to in-ring prowess, where it matters, she is lacking and has been fed far better wrestlers. With each match, she has been exposed for her “five moves of doomdom”, and frankly has even been sloppy with most of those moves. With each match, she has gotten more and more sloppy in the ring. After this win against Taya Valkyrie, I don’t care about this belt at all. Frankly, I ignored the match, because I knew Cargill would win, and it was a waste of time to watch the match.
On to the other issues, I’ve been having with pro wrestling in general, but really hit a nerve last night…outside interference and dusty finishes in wrestling matches. Especially when it comes to championship matches, I am way past done with someone coming from outside to cause a finish. Where are the days when, two wrestlers or two good tag teams could just have amazing matches with clear, solid, clean finishes that leave both sides looking strong? Especially tonight (because frankly, I didn’t bother watching RAW Monday night), a lot of the matches that were on Dynamite had crappy dusty finishes, where someone had to cheat or have outside interference to win, and frankly, there was only one match where the dusty finish actually made sense. I’m really tired of it. Find another way to have a match finish.
Just some of my rants on AEW and pro wrestling in general.
