All I can say is I both feel bad and glad for those released today. Especially wrestlers like Ember Moon, Mia Yim, and Keith Lee. If I am Tony Khan, I am especially picking up the phone to call Ember Moon and Mia Yim. They really NEED these two to help fill out and elevate AEW’s Women’s Division. Keith Lee can go anywhere and kill it, though I really hope he’s picked up by either AEW or NJPW. Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were definitely on the rise before Vince gave his two cents. How are you going to release Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado? These two are ridiculously amazing high-flying luchadors in the ring. Taya Valkyrie and Oney Lorcan were released from WWE…really Vince?! Honestly, Vince and his yesmen and women are complete dumbasses. If he and his cronies couldn’t get these great talents over, then what the hell are they doing running WWE?
I’m sorry to say this, but Ricochet is next. I don’t want to wish bad on someone but wouldn’t shock me if he and Cedric Alexander, along with Mustafa Ali were released next. Ciampa will be next. If I was Gargano and Kyle O’Riley, I wouldn’t re-sign with WWE. There’s no guarantee that that contract would be honored, or if I was going to be used in any kind of competent capacity. If it was me, and I ran AEW, I would let all of these wrestlers walk right into my company. And to think, almost all of their 205 Live division has been released. All of those amazing wrestlers were released because Vince and co. are just too stupid to see or maybe care that their audience actually wants to see good wrestling, and it doesn’t matter how tall or big of the wrestler’s stature. What the hell WWE?!
But hey…maybe now these wrestlers can be allowed to actually wrestle and promote their talents somewhere else. Maybe now these wrestlers can finally get to show what path they wanted to take their characters on but weren’t allowed to in WWE. I know that WWE’s stupidity is another promotions gain.
