A little something about me…

Hello. My name is Tabitha. I’m a music addict. I’ve had this addiction ever since I was a little girl, and I first heard my mom humming the song,”Don’t Ask My Neighbor” by the Emotions, and was cemented when I heard the songs “Mighty Real” by Sylvester and “Funkytown” by Lipps Inc. My addiction has taken me to many places, such as Minneapolis with artists like Prince, Sheila E, and Andrews Sisters, to Middle America with Madonna, Miles Davis; to East Coast with Run-D.M.C., Queen Latifah, Dizzy Gillespie, and Bon Jovi; to my home in the Dirty South with Outkast, TLC, and 3 Doors Down, to West Coast with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Brubeck, and Metallica; to Europe with Wagner, U2, Judas Priest, Zhane, Daft Punk and the Stones, all the way to the East with Wagakiband, Band-Maid and Mika Nakashima. Music led me to learn how to play the piano, rhythm guitar, bass, and even a little bit of drums in my all-encompassing addiction. I am so addicted that as a child, I wanted to have a career as a Studio Engineer when I grew up. Through dreams unfulfilled, bad and unrequited relationships, batshit craziness, and the loss of loved ones, music has always been my constant North star and has kept me on the positive path, and I hope that it continues to speak to me, and in many ways continue to teach me about this ever-changing world in which we all live.
