I just got back from seeing The Rise of Skywalker. As a fangirl of the Star Wars series, who actually liked Episodes 7 and 8, I gotta say that I liked the movie. This trilogy definitely beats the Prequel one, and lands behind the original trilogy. There were a couple things I could have done without, but just a couple. I understand where JJ Abrams was going with the story, and I’m ok with it. There were more exposition and backstory for the new trio characters, and accept the reasons behind some of the choices made in this movie They worked for me. By the end of the movie, I was left with the same bittersweet feeling I had at the end of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, yet I know that this will not be the end for the epic that is the Star Wars saga, though it is and was the best end for the Skywalker one. Just my opinion, but there it is.
