Money in the Bank 2018 Predictions

Well, it’s time for money in the Bank again. I’m hoping that this year’s edition of this pay per view is better than in past years. Here are my predictions for this year’s card.

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match

Who I want to win: Either Becky Lynch or Ember Moon

Who I think will win: Alexa Bliss

With Nia Jax facing Ronda Rousey, and with Carmella facing Asuka, a heel is going to need to win the briefcase. Unless Rousey and Asuka lose their matches for some odd reason.

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match

Who I want to win: Samoa Joe, Rusev or Finn Balor

Who will win: Strowman

Right now, Strowman is on a high. He is tearing through the roster of RAW. If creative isn’t going to give him a straight shot at the title, there is no way Strowman’s not winning the briefcase.

AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship

Who I want to win: Na-ka-mur-a

Who will win: Na-ka-mur-a

I want him to win so bad, and I think in terms of this feud it’s time for Shinsuke to take the belt from Styles.

Nia Jax vs Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Champion

Who I want to win: Rousey

Who will win: Rousey

Let’s face it. There is no legitimate way that Jax should beat Rousey. Unless some shenanigans ensue, I don’t see Rousey losing.

Carmella vs Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s Championship

Who I want to win: Asuka

Who will win: Asuka

I love Asuka. I’ve loved her since she joined NXT, and she’s never disappointed in the ring. Again, there is no way that Asuka should lose this match unless there are some shenanigans.

Seth Rollins vs Elias for the Intercontinental Championship

Who I want to win: Elias

Who will win: Seth Rollins

I think it would be a cool shock to have Rollins to lose the belt to Elias.

Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal

Who will win: Jinder Mahal

Who I want to win: Roman Reigns

I know I will get flak for saying this, but I like Roman Reigns. He turned into a good wrestler. True, Vince has been trying to cram him down our throats for some time, and he’s done it in the wrong way; but that’s not Roman’s fault. Also, I don’t like the handling of Mahal. I haven’t since he became the #1 Contender for the WWE belt in such short fashion as he did. Talk about cramming a wrestler’s push down fan’s throats.

Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass

Who I want to win: Daniel Bryan

Who will win:  Big Cass

I have so much respect for Daniel Bryan. For what he’s had to endure to get back in the ring, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for him, and I am glad that he is back doing what he loves to do. Also, I want him to eventually obtain either the WWE Championship or the Universal Championship. Having said that, right now Vince and WWE creative are trying to give a big heel push to Big Cass. Personally, I don’t like Big Cass. Regardless of whether he is a heel or a face, I just don’t buy him as either. He’s borderline in the ring, and on the mic, to me, though he’s improved, he still sucks. Honestly, as a wrestling fan, I didn’t realize just how much Enzo Amore was helping to get Cass over, but he was. Enzo would have made an amazing manager for Cass, but it seems that ship has sailed.

Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn

Who I want to win: I don’t care

Who will win: Bobby Lashley

I chose Bobby Lashley, though this is the only match that is 50/50 to me. I honestly don’t care who wins. They are already booking Lashley badly, and honestly, this is just another step.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship

Who I want to win: Anderson & Gallows

Who will win: The Bludgeon Brothers

I really like Luke Harper, but right now he and Rowan are saddled with a hit or miss gimmick. What I mean is there are parts of this gimmick that works. The ominous and menacing look and the monster personas work well, but parts of their costumes and the constant use of those fake ass hammers (pardon my language) really are a disservice to what could be a massively over monster tag team. I mean I can see these “Brothers” going up against Authors of Pain, and if they just tweak their gear, being a massive feud that can go all the way through SummerSlam to Survivor Series.

I really like the Anderson & Gallows. I have ever since I first saw them wrestle in New Japan. In the WWE, like many of the tag teams on the main roster, they have been woefully misused in the past. I am so glad that they are getting a title shot because they deserve to be champions. It’s why I feel that there needs to be a mid-card tag belt or/and even a TV title that vacillates between each main show.

Well, there you have. These are my picks to win at the Money in the Bank PPV. What do you think? Who do you think will win? Let me know in comments.
